Park Data Hub 3.0
At one of the world’s most fiber-dense locations, Schiphol-Rijk –just south of Amsterdam and very near to Schiphol Airport– Chipshol developed plans for at least 100,000 m2 of data center facilities. The area is highly in demand by data center operators due to the high quality connectivity, abundance of power and cooperative municipality.
Immediately after rezoning of the land was approved, early 2017, Chipshol sold the project to Dutch Data Center Development and e-shelter of Germany. These specialist development companies plan to realise 60,000 m2 and 40,000 m2 of data center respectively. In April 2019, Japanese telecom giant NTT opened a large green-field data center campus here. According to HostingJournalist.com, NTT invested more than 100 million euros in the first phase of this data center campus alone, with 40MW IT-load once fully developed. It reports that 84 percent of e-shelter AMS1’s first phase is already sold out.
